Business Management Group

Manages the flow of Council business (including the work of the Council's scrutiny bodies), deals with electoral and electoral registration matters and monitors the application of the Council's Constitution.

Cabinet

Puts forward proposals for the Council's budget and main policies and makes day-to-day decisions on Council services.

Corporate Policy Development Committee

Undertakes policy development work relating to support services, partnership working and cross-cutting issues

Council

Takes some of the most important decisions on the Council's major policies, such as the budget and Council Tax levels.

Development Control Committee

Deals with planning applications.

Environment Policy Development Committee

Undertakes policy development work relating to services within the Environment Directorate

Executive Scrutiny Panel

Considers any decisions taken by Cabinet, or delegated to officers, which are called-in.

External Scrutiny Panel

Scrutinises services external to the Council, chiefly the NHS locally and the body charged with overseeing the growth of Milton Keynes

Housing Advisory Group

Advisory Group to the Cabinet Member for housing

Learning and Development Policy Development Committee

Undertakes policy development work relating to services within the Learning ans Development Directorate

Licensing Committee

Responsible for the Council's licensing functions, including public entertainment, and house to house and street collections.

Licensing Sub-Committee

To hear and determine applications where objections and/ or representations have been received.

Member/Officer Decisions

Decisions which are taken by an individual Councillor or Officer.

Milton Keynes Council Housing Forum

Forum for elected representative of Tenants and Residents Associations.

Performance Review and Audit Panel

Scrutinises the Council's performance across the whole range of its services

Regulatory Committee

Responsible for the Council's Regulatory Functions

Social Care and Housing Policy Development Committee

Undertakes policy development work relating to services within the Neighbourhood Services Directorate

Standards Committee

Deals with the ethical standards of Councillors by being resposponsible for the Council's Code of Conduct.

Sustainable Transport and Road Safety Forum

Advisory Group to the Cabinet Member for Transport and Highways.
